Instead of waiting for his newspaper to cut him, Jay Mariotti decided to leave. Good thinking. Even though he was in no danger of loosing his job, this sportswriter saw the "writing on the wall" so to speak. Looks like we won't see the future of journalism is not in the funny papers but in the blogosphere. I call this a man bites dog story. Score one for the working man.
